District Accepting Nominations for the 2020 Teacher of the Year

Nomination period: February 1 - February 28, 2019

The Seaford School District is now accepting nominations for the 2020 Teacher of the Year. Nomination forms are available in the main office of each district school and through the attached PDF.

Winter Fitness and Conditioning Program Available for Female Athletes

The Seaford Athletics Department is planning a winter fitness and conditioning program designed specifically for female athletes. A registration and information session will be held on Tuesday, February 5 at 3:00pm here at the Middle School gymnasium. The program will be held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:15-4:30 pm from February 5 through 28. For more information, contact Catherine McMahon 302-629-4587 ext. 1555


SMS Drama Department proudly presents, Beauty and the Beast, Jr. Shows will be: April 11th, 12th and 13th, 2019. This is a show you will NOT want to miss!


PBIS presents January's Reward for students without any referrals or infractions to our, "Sweetheart" Dance on Friday, February 1st, 2019 from 6pm-8pm. Tickets go on sale 1/28 - 2/1 during lunch shifts.

M&T Charitable Foundation presents SMS with check

Today, Ms. Jvonne Oliver with M&T Bank presented our Principal, Mr. Jim Cave with a check for $500. Ms. Oliver visited our school in October as, "Principal for the Day". She learned about our education system and the daily roles of running a Middle School. Thank you, Ms. Oliver and M&T Bank for your generous donation to our school!

Seaford Schools will Close Early on Friday, February 1st

The Seaford School district will close schools early today, Friday February 1st. Students in the High School and Middle school will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m. Students in all the elementary schools and PreK will be dismissed at 2:30 p.m. All after-school activities including athletics and the Middle School Dance have been cancelled for this evening. Please travel safely. Thank you.

Two-Hour Delay

The Seaford School District will open schools two-hours late tomorrow, Thursday January 31st. Breakfast will not be served tomorrow, so please provide your child with a healthy breakfast at home. For Pre-K students, there is no AM pre-k. Full-day pre-k students should arrive two-hours late. Pre-K PM students who ride a bus will arrive at school at approximately 12:30 p.m. Pre-K PM students who are dropped off by a parent or caregiver, may still arrive at their regular time.
